She definitely brings her knowledge as a local for every stop and is good at feeling the group vibe in deciding when to stop for food, and whether to stay at a bar longer or shorter.

Also, all of the bars and restaurants chosen had AMAZING views both in the mountains and beaches. Around Christmas time, she brought instruments and slips of paper with lyrics to sing Christmas carols together, which was a funny bonding activity, and we learned about the Puertorrican tradition about singing and playing Christmas parrandas! And trying out the famous holiday drink of ‘coquito’! When my mom came to visit, I brought her along to the northern coastal beach chinchorreo.

Since I hadn’t seen my mom in a long time, we had the best time hanging out at stunning beaches, relaxing and absorbing the views, drinking piña coladas in Mar Chiquita, and dancing to random 80s karaoke hits in Arecibo. It was an unforgettable bonding activity (that we still talk about to this day!!!), and it was great for her to tour the island in a few hours while learning about Puertorrican culture! The best part? I didn’t have to plan any of it! Maria figured out all of the beach spots, that I never would have known about otherwise.

Also, she planned out the transportation and eating arrangements, which took a lot of stress away so that we could both enjoy our vacation. If you’re looking for a day trip or perhaps traveling in a group and want a memorable time. Definitely hit up Maria! Look no further! She’s so much fun, caring, organized and knows how to have a good time!!! She is the best at sharing her love for her island and makes sure you enjoy yourself!
